This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Full-time hours, generally working 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 1-2 late shifts per week. Call is on a rotating weekend basis.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering care in the operating room environment. This unit features 5 operating rooms and 1 cystoscopy room, performing a variety of procedures with a focus on orthopedic and spine cases, in addition to general, vascular, urology, gynecology, neuro, ENT, podiatry, bariatric, and robotic surgeries. The nurse will be part of a team consisting of a boardrunner, a circulator, a scrub technician, and a First Assistant per room, ensuring comprehensive patient care and efficient surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care in the operating room environment, following safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to provide effective patient care during procedures.
- Duties may include managing surgical supplies, supporting the surgical team and ensuring patient safety.
Required Experience
- Must have current TN RN license and BLS certification.
- Experience in orthopedic and spine procedures is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Registered Nurse license in Tennessee (TN).
- BLS certification is required.
- CST certification is required for scrub technicians.
