Weekend Hours: 1 per month
Job Description
The position is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation department. You will work primarily with the geriatric patient population, focusing on rehabilitation therapies including strokes and orthopedic conditions.
The facility offers a supportive environment with a patient ratio of 5:1, utilizing the Epic electronic health record system.
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing therapeutic programs.
- Support patients in achieving their personal rehabilitation goals.
- Document patient progress and treatments in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience working with adult populations, preferably within a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
Certifications/Licensure
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required.
