Schedule/Shift

Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend and on call as needed.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Stroke Department, where you will care for patients in a 24-bed unit. This is a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality care to stroke and medical-surgical patients. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment including a Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, glucometers, and a computer system in each patient room for efficient documentation and care management.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro assessments and provide comprehensive nursing care to stroke patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as necessary.
• Assist with various medical procedures, including cerebral angiograms and central line insertions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).

Required Experience

• IV skills and wound care experience.
• Proven capability in neuro assessment and stroke care.

Certifications/Licensure

• NIH Certification required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
