Schedule/Shift

This position requires working a Night Shift from 19:00 to 07:00, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts are required (minimum of 2 per month).

Job Description

The Emergency Department at our Tomball location is a Level III trauma center and accredited chest pain center, focusing on the acute care and assessment of ER patients. As a Registered Nurse in this department, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including IV initiation, blood collection, blood transfusions, and medication administration. You will also engage in the resuscitation of both adult and pediatric patients, provide care for behavioral health patients, assist with intubations, apply restraints, assist with splinting, and provide moderate sedation services. The unit prides itself on having a family-like atmosphere and a strong team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide acute care for ER patients.
• Initiate IVs, collect blood samples, and administer blood transfusions.
• Administer medications and engage in patient resuscitation.
• Provide care for patients with behavioral health needs.
• Assist with intubations and apply restraints as necessary.
• Support splinting and moderate sedation procedures.

Required Experience

• Certification in ACLS and PALS or ENPC is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• ACLS, BLS certification required.
• PALS or ENPC certification required.
• TNCC, ATCN/CEN certification preferred.
