This position requires 12-hour day shifts, with guaranteed hours at 36 hours per week.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide comprehensive care within an acute care setting, supporting a diverse array of surgical procedures including Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Podiatry, GYN, GU, General, Robotic, and Vascular surgeries. The role requires proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating functions, along with utilization of the EMAR system, Epic, for documentation and charting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for surgical patients.
- Prepare the operating room and ensure that necessary equipment is sterilized and arranged for procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and provide care during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document surgical procedures and patient responses accurately in the EMAR system.
Required Experience
Previous experience in an Operating Room setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS Certification is required.
- Current and valid nursing license is required for submission.
