Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shift: 4x12 nights (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend requirement: every other weekend. On call: 2 on call in a 6-week schedule.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for both Maternal and Fetal patients on the Mother-Baby unit. Responsibilities include administration of blood products, antepartum care, newborn assessments, cesarean section care, and postpartum care. The nurse will also be responsible for patient education regarding breastfeeding, discharge teaching, and pain assessment and management.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct assessments and monitor the condition of mothers and infants.
- Educate parents on newborn care, including feeding and safety practices.
- Assist with high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Required Experience
1 year of nursing experience is required; travel experience is mandatory. Previous charge experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NCI (Online) certifications required
