Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position requires weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM. Floating to other units is required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in a 45-bed Medical-Surgical unit. This includes the assessment and management of patients with medical, surgical, telemetry, and wound care needs. The nurse will utilize the MEDHOST electronic medical record system for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and manage care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities and interventions in the EMR system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical or similar nursing environment.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Active Registered Nurse license.
