Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, adhering to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery. The nurse will maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education, delegate care priorities based on the staff's qualifications and experience, and provide guidance to assigned personnel involved in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in care delivery.
• Maintain ongoing clinical skills through professional development and education.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately to staff.
• Supervise and provide direction to personnel assigned to patient care.

Required Experience

• Valid Florida RN or multi-state compact RN license.
• Vent/tracheostomy experience.
• Knowledge of central lines management.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
