Job Description
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on individual needs and physician direction. This role requires overseeing all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs are designed to facilitate a successful return to community activities. The therapist will also provide education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Create and implement detailed treatment plans focused on patient goals and progression.
- Document patient care accurately and timely following clinic policies and compliance guidelines.
- Ensure care is delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance approval limits.
- Participate in student program mentorship by providing supervision and evaluations.
- Develop a professional growth plan and pursue continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to state practice regulations.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active physical therapy license for the state of Florida.
- Current CPR certification.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must maintain an active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
