ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (Day Shift) in Hermitage, Tennessee.

Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
3 12-hour shifts a week with a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM schedule. Every other weekend requirement for contract.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide care for patients with complex medical conditions. This unit includes 34 beds in 630 and 25 beds in 633, requiring a notable patient care capacity.
Successful candidates will utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as bipaps, high flow oxygen systems, Alaris pumps, and more. Experience with stroke care, post-cardiac catheterization care, and peritoneal dialysis is preferred.
The nurse will also be responsible for hourly rounding during the day shifts and every 2-hour rounding during the night shifts, in addition to maintaining communication boards on the 7th floor.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients.
- Monitor patient vitals and assess their conditions regularly.
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin drips.
- Perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and central line dressing changes.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Utilize and troubleshoot various medical equipment, including wound vacs.
Required Experience
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Experience with bipaps and high flow oxygen delivery systems.
- Knowledge in stroke and post-cardiac cath care.
- Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
