Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, Every other weekend and holiday is required. Floating to other units is necessary.
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care for patients in the Antepartum, Intrapartum, Surgical (as RN circulator), and PACU Recovery settings for both patients and neonates. The unit consists of 11 beds, with 3 in triage and 2 in PACU, along with 2 operating rooms.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during all stages of labor and delivery.
- Monitor and assess patients continuously to ensure safety and appropriate progression of labor.
- Perform circulating duties in the operating room as needed.
- Assist in the postoperative care of patients in the PACU.
- Utilize Cerner and GE Centricity for patient documentation.
Required Experience
- 1-2+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course.
