ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, PACU (Day Shift) in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Wheeling, WV
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Predominantly 12-hour shifts; however, 8's or 10's could be considered if the needs of the department are met. Staff are allowed up to 4 schedule requests per schedule.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will work in the PACU/Recovery areas, which include Inpatient and Outpatient PACU, Surgery Center, and Anesthesia Clinic. The positions require proficiency in managing patients in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.
The candidate must be capable of reading and interpreting telemetry and managing patients on ventilators under the direction of a Hospitalist or Intensivist.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for patients in various recovery areas.
- Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as needed.
- Coordinate with charge nurses and the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality care.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in Allscripts.
- Assist with emergency interventions as required.
Required Experience
Candidates must possess a valid RN license and have experience in PACU nursing, particularly in managing patients post-surgery.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Additional TNCC certification is required for inpatient and outpatient PACU and Surgery Center roles.
- Only BLS is required for the Anesthesia Clinic.
