Schedule/Shift
Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care unit will provide comprehensive care to patients requiring closer monitoring and management of complex conditions. The role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those with respiratory issues, sepsis, and acute medical complications.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing critical interventions as required.
- Administer medications and treatments as per care plans.
- Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory support equipment.
- Document care accurately using the Epic EMR system.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in an Intermediate Care or Medical Telemetry setting.
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification required.
- Active RN license in the state of Maine or pending state license.
