Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts, 4 days or 3 days per week; rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights; floating/rotating on weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Job Description

As an OB Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, ensuring patient and family-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. The role involves working with high, moderate, and low-risk patients and requires strong communication skills, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will be oriented and trained in various competencies across the OB service and may float among units to meet the variable needs of patient volume and acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes as needed.
• Assist with labor and delivery processes.
• Educate patients and families about care and support processes.
• Float to different units as necessary based on patient acuity and staffing needs.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery is required.
• Experience in operating room and triage is highly desired.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN License in New York.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification is required.
