Schedule/Shift

Scheduled for 5x8 hour shifts, providing care to 2 patients per hour with diverse needs. Initial evaluations and safety assessments are a full hour of one-on-one care.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients to develop, implement, and modify treatment plans tailored to individual needs, goals, and physician directives. This role involves the delegation and direction of therapy services to ensure that functional treatment programs are designed for effective community reintegration. The therapist will also serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues, contributing to the development of discipline-specific therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and use clinical reasoning to establish treatment plans and goals aimed at facilitating patient discharge within an expected time frame.
• Document all medical records accurately and timely, including treatment notes, goal writing, quality indicator assessments, and necessary communications under valid physician orders.
• Participate in student programs, supervising and providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
• Engage in professional development activities, ensuring compliance with licensure requirements and pursuit of continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
• Continuing education as mandated by state regulations.
