Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
The schedule consists of 8-hour shifts, primarily from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Call rotation includes weekday and weekend requirements, with both RN and CST on call during the evenings.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in the Operating Room, participating in various surgical procedures including general, ENT, orthopedic, and trauma cases. The nurse will document care using EPIC and may also assist in teaching or refreshing service lines as necessary. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality surgical nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient care and surgical outcomes within EPIC.
- Respond to emergencies and assist with crisis management as needed.
- Participate in call rotation, remaining available for night shifts when required.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty is required.
- Must have 2-3 previous travel assignments.
- Robotic surgical experience, particularly with passing instruments for Robotics, is essential.
Certifications/Licensure
- Required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS preferred.
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse license.
