This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Call requirements typically include being available at the end of the shift until 10:00 PM or overnight from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM during the week, with weekends divided into 12-hour call shifts.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will work in a dynamic environment with specialties including GYN, General Robotics, Trauma, Urology Colorectal, Neuro, and Bariatrics. The successful candidate will be proficient in the Cerner EMR system, ensuring accurate documentation and streamlined workflows in collaboration with surgical teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room.
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and manage patient pain levels as needed.
- Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in the Cerner EMR system.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting, with a focus on various surgical specialties.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
