Weekend coverage, 7 PM to 7 AM, Saturday and Sunday; 24 hours per week.

Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. Your role involves operating ultrasound equipment, selecting appropriate transducers, settings, and techniques to ensure optimal image quality. You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exams, taking relevant medical histories, and positioning them correctly. Your expertise will aid in recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal sonographic findings while collaborating with radiologists and physicians for preliminary impressions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound exams as per physician requests.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and technical data.
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and radiation safety protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education as required.
• Utilize effective communication to ensure patient education, safety, and satisfaction.
• Work with patients and families across all age groups: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Required Experience

3+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is required. ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics (OB) is essential.

Certifications/Licensure

Must have ARDMS certification in either Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics (OB).
