12-hour shifts, Night Shift, weekends as scheduled, every other holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 28-bed private stepdown unit, managing a patient population with heavy cardiac issues, dysrhythmias, CVAs, and other conditions downgraded from the ICU. The RN will collaborate with an in-house hospitalist and utilize an electronic medical record system (Currently Epic and Cerner). The unit is supported by a full-time RT and pharmacy services, with a charge nurse on days without assignments and a potential assignment at night.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Titrate drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists and intensivists.
• Provide patient education and support alongside nurse aides during shifts.
• Participate in unit orientation and training activities.

Required Experience

• Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with telemetry and stepdown care preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
