Day Shift, 06:45-17:15, with rotating weekends and call.

Job Description

The Surgical Technician will be responsible for scrubbing or first assisting in various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, general surgery, spine/neuro, GYN, and urology. The ideal candidate should have experience in a fast-paced operating room environment and possess the ability to adapt and work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in the turnover of the operating room for subsequent procedures.

Required Experience

• Experience as a Surgical Technician in an operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub or first assist in surgical procedures.
• Willingness to take call and work rotating weekends.

Certifications/Licensure

• Virginia state license.
• First Assistant certification.
• BLS certification.
