ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Step-Down (Night Shift) in Richmond, Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night Shift: 19:00-07:00, Every other weekend, Holiday or hard to fill availability, with 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays scheduled.

Job Description

The unit has 20 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1, focusing on acute care and step-down patients. Staff will engage in bedside shift reporting, including discussions about isolation patients. The unit enhances patient experience through collaboration with ICU and Cath Lab teams and values teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bedside shift report and communicate effectively with team members.
• Utilize the documentation system, Expanse, for patient records.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips and manage patients on BIPAP/CPAP/High Flow.
• Perform occasional bedside cardioversion with appropriate recovery support.

Required Experience

• Experience in a Step-Down unit with cardiac drips.
• Familiarity with BIPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy.
• Ability to manage post-cath patients without intervention.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ACLS certification is required.
