Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will provide care for critically ill neonates. You will engage in assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Your expertise will be vital in addressing the complex needs of this vulnerable population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of neonate patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Provide education and support to parents and families.
Required Experience
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a NICU setting preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS certification required.
- NRP certification required.
