This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed. On-call during the week and every other weekend.
Job Description
The Cardiac Cath Lab unit at this facility consists of 13 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 30, including RNs and CVTs. The patient care ratio is set at 1:3, ensuring focused attention to each patient's needs. The unit utilizes Phillips and GE equipment and follows Meditech and Mac Lab documentation systems. Procedures performed include Left and Right Heart Catheterization, peripheral interventions, structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology studies.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and provide patient care according to established guidelines.
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed within the Cath Lab.
- Monitor patients during procedures and recovery, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with medical staff and coordinate patient care effectively.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the designated documentation system.
Required Experience
- Must have current ACLS and BLS certification.
- Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must have current RN licensure.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
