Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires a night shift schedule from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Weekends are not regularly scheduled, but weekend coverage may be needed as part of the on-call rotation. On-call and holiday rotations are required based on departmental needs.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Tech at LVH Hazleton will primarily perform general ultrasound studies, including some vascular studies and limited OB exams. The department serves various patient populations, including emergency department, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general ultrasound studies with a focus on abdominal and renal/pelvic studies.
• Perform vascular studies, including arterial, venous, carotid, and Doppler studies.
• Complete limited obstetrical ultrasound exams as required.
• Utilize Philips equipment and PACS for imaging and documentation.
• Chart patient information using the Epic system.

Required Experience

• Strong general ultrasound experience, including abdominal and renal/pelvic studies.
• Preferred: 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Limited OB experience is expected.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT or ARDMS certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
