ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Room (Day Shift) in Randallstown, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). Every other weekend is required, along with holiday coverage during the contract period. One pre-approved time-off request is permitted.

Job Description

This position is within a 54-bed Emergency Department that treats a broad range of patients from neonatal to geriatric. The department averages around 120 visits per day and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center. The RN will be required to support two locked units focused on behavioral health care alongside urgent and critical care needs. Candidates should be familiar with the Cerner charting system, specifically FirstNet and Launch.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across similar units.
• Support rapid evaluation of patients in urgent and critical situations.
• Assist in behavioral health care for patients in locked units.
• Maintain documentation in the Cerner system.

Required Experience

Candidates must have at least 3 years of Emergency Department experience, although 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Maryland or compact RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment is mandatory.
• CEN certification is preferred.
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education is required.
