Description
***$20,000.00 Sign-on Bonus (Paid over 2 Years)***
This position exists to provide mammography equipment, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the department’s Performance Imp y examinations for young adult through geriatric patients. Technologists provide patient care services using diagnostic imaging modalities. This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, operating Fuji C movement program. Proficiency in PACS. The mammography technologist is responsible for maintaining the department’s mammography program for ACR/MQSA accreditation. Technologists also function as instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program.
- Performs mammography and radiologic examinations.
- Maintains mammography program records for ACR/MQSA
- Tasks are usually completed accurately and promptly
- Performs daily check of equipment, accessories and supplies
- Prepares and administers barium preparations & other contrast agents, or chemical mixtures with no more than 1 inaccurately prepared each year
- Performs related duties as required
- Required:
- Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with an Associate degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Up to one year experience is required
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered with ARRT in Mammography, or registry-eligible with registration complete within one year of employment.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- SCRQSA required.
- Preferred:
- Experience: 1 to 2 years is preferred
