Schedule

• Work hours may range between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM.
• Tuesdays: Extended hours may be required until 8:00 PM.
• The MA must remain until the physician has completed all patients.
• Candidates may occasionally work more than 8 hours depending on patient volume.
• Schedules are adjusted as needed when shifts exceed 8 hours.
• The practice manager releases schedules approximately one week in advance.

Client  is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support physicians and the practice team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity for candidates who are interested in transitioning to a full-time Penn Medicine position.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and practice managers with daily clinical and administrative operations.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and physician visits.
• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information.
• Perform clinical and technical medical assistant duties within scope of practice.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Support efficient patient flow and maintain a patient-focused environment.
• Assist with meeting patient satisfaction and operational goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient-care standards.
• Work closely with the physician and remain available until all scheduled patients have been completed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the practice manager or physician.

Required Qualifications

• 18 months of CMA/Medical Assistant experience – Required
• Previous EPIC experience – Preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal training.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced physician practice.
• Must be willing to convert to a full-time Penn Medicine employee after the temporary assignment.
• Must be able to commute to the Berwyn, PA location within approximately 30 minutes.

 

Training

• 4-hour virtual EMR training every Friday.

Assignment Details

• Confirmation of whether the candidate has applied directly to Penn Medicine
• Confirmation of whether the candidate is currently interviewing with Penn Medicine

Resume and submission cover form must be combined into one document.

Compliance Requirements

• Compliance is due by the Wednesday before the start date.
• Medical and drug screening must be initiated within 72 hours of award acceptance.
• Candidates should be prepared to begin the compliance process immediately after accepting an offer.
• Failure to begin required compliance within 72 hours may put the contract at risk of cancellation.
• COA must be uploaded within 48 hours of award acceptance.
• Candidate information in B4Health must be accurate and complete.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Maroon/Burgundy
• Candidate must bring their own stethoscope on the first day.

Important Candidate Requirement

This is a Temp-to-Hire position. Candidates must be genuinely interested and willing to convert to a full-time Penn Medicine CMA position if offered
