Title: Respiratory Therapist
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: 1 Hospital Dr Massena, NY 13662
Schedule: Day Shift 3*12s 36hours/week

• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, CRT, State License

• Preferred Certifications: NRP, RRT

• Experience/Skills: Adult Critical Care, ED, extubation, airway placement, oral/nasal suctioning, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene, sputum collection, ABG draws and interpretation, mechanical ventilation weaning, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, aerosol therapy, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.

• Equipment Required: Servo I and LTV 1200 ventilators.

• Preferred Equipment: Philips V60 BiPAP, BiPAP Vision, and Teleflex HFNC.

• Medications: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Spiriva, Xopenex, Racemic Epinephrine, Tobramycin, and other respiratory medications.

• Patient Population: Emphysema, asthma, and other respiratory disease processes.

• Department: Small community hospital Respiratory Therapy.

• Procedures: Non-invasive ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, ABG draws/analysis, and chest physiotherapy.

• Ventilation: Invasive ventilation stabilized in the ED and transferred to sister hospital CPH.

• Schedule: Primarily 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM / 7 PM–7 AM), with one 8-hour Friday shift per pay period.

• Call Requirement: Yes – Friday night on-call from 1 AM–7 AM.

• EMR: EPIC required.

• Local Radius: No local candidates within 50 miles.
