Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent SICU experience (mandatory).

• Active Delaware or Compact RN license in hand.

• Recent Epic EMR experience required.

• ICU experience with surgical, trauma, and transplant patients.

• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity critical care environment.

Unit Details

• Unit: Level 2A1 – Surgical/Shock Trauma Unit

• Number of Beds: 21–30

• Patient Ratio: 1:1.7

• Float: ICU Float

• Call: None

• Weekend: Every 3rd weekend

• Holidays: Required

• Special Procedures: Major surgical procedures requiring critical care.

• Interview: Auto Offer (ICU List A)

• RTO: Maximum 3 days; all RTO must be submitted initially.

• Trauma patients

• Surgical patients

• Transplant patients

• Postoperative critical care patients

• Patients requiring advanced ICU monitoring and interventions

Important OT & Scheduling Policies

• No authorized overtime for travel RNs.

• Incidental overtime is not permitted.

• Travel RNs must take their assigned meal breaks.

• No accumulation of missed meal breaks.

• Timely shift handoff is expected to ensure on-time departure.
