Position Overview
Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and diverse learning needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting instructional strategies to support academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes communication, independence, and student engagement.
Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to monitor progress and ensure student needs are addressed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a K–12 Special Education endorsement
Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement required
Experience developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated instructional strategies preferred
