Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position located in Independence, Missouri. This role involves providing occupational therapy services in a 285-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit within a facility designated as a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients with a focus on activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility, utilizing rehab gym equipment. The position requires working on the day shift, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license as an occupational therapist; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; Ohio, licensed in the state of Missouri; at least 1 year of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care or rehab settings; familiarity with evaluations and treatments related to ADLs and mobility; proficiency with rehab gym equipment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.

  • Unit features a 16-bed inpatient rehab area with acute care staffing including 11 OT professionals on day shift.
  • Typical procedures include patient evaluations and treatments focused on ADLs and mobility.
  • All normal rehab supplies and equipment are used.
  • Dress code requires eggplant-colored scrubs; other attire is not acceptable.
