Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiovascular Care Specialist for a 21-week contract in Tacoma, Washington. The role involves providing specialized patient care in a pediatric electrophysiology laboratory, supporting procedures such as pacemaker implantations, EP studies with radiofrequency ablations, and device exchanges. This position offers an opportunity to work in a level II pediatric trauma center with a dedicated Pediatric Cardiology program.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in a pediatric cath lab or electrophysiology, prior pediatric cath lab experience required; current BLS, PALS, Radiologic Technician (RCIS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, and current Washington state Rad Tech and/or Cardiac Intersocietal Certification (CISC) license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional cases (e.g., LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, congenital structure stenting/ballooning, collateral closure), pediatric electrophysiology procedures (e.g., pacemaker implant/generator exchanges, EP studies, radiofrequency ablations for SVT, WPW). Monitoring experience with PACS: Picom, hemodynamic system Merge, and C-arm Siemens Artis preferred.
• Float: No.
• Weekend Rotation: Call only, approximately 1-2 weekends per month, with every 3rd week anticipated.
• On Call: 7 shifts within a 3-week rotation, including weekends; weekday call from EOS (end of shift) to 0700 the following day; weekend call from EOS Friday to 0700 Monday; 45-minute response time; no sleep room available.
• Holiday Expectations: Call only, included in department call rotation.
• Scrub Color: Provided by the hospital, with lead scrubs available. Extended sizing available, but not for leads.
• Facility Details: Level II pediatric trauma center with 82 beds and one catheterization/electrophysiology laboratory.
