Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient in Jacksonville, Texas. This full-time position involves assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients in a normal outpatient setting, primarily focusing on orthopedics, balance, deconditioning, and pain management. The therapist will be responsible for adhering to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and providing technical therapy care, equipment, supplies, and interventions tailored to a designated patient population.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, Texas Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) or equivalent compact license, BLS certification with American Heart Association (AHA), 0 years of experience, eligible to work in Texas
• Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred
• Responsibilities:
  • Collects relevant patient data from charts and care team discussions
  • Independently assesses all assigned patient types
  • Recognizes additional needs during evaluation and exercises good judgment in requesting or performing additional testing
  • Interprets results to establish relevant, measurable, and realistic goals
  • Regularly reassesses patient progress according to department and regulatory policies
  • Identifies appropriate equipment, discusses with patients and families, and makes recommendations
• Additional Information: The position is being created due to a vacancy, with an immediate start date. The outpatient setting involves a variety of patient types, with outpatient orthopedics, balance, deconditioning, and pain management highly preferred.
