Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position is available in the Massachusetts area. This role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position requires applying evidence-based practices to support patient recovery and progress.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant; completion of relevant educational program; possess at least 1 year of PTA experience; no specific location requirements; preferred experience in long-term care or rehabilitation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in long-term care or rehabilitation facilities.
• Awareness of adherence to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
• Able to support and supervise students under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Effective communication skills with the healthcare team, patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ability to document all clinical information accurately in electronic health records, including treatment minutes and progress notes.
• Participation in meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization review is expected.
• Capacity to assist in obtaining durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as per clinical needs.
