Job Summary

Occupational Therapist, Inpatient Occupational Therapy. The position evaluates and treats patients in an acute rehabilitation setting while supporting acute inpatient services as census needs dictate. Responsibilities include developing and progressing individualized plans of care, documenting patient services, coordinating with interdisciplinary care teams, and promoting functional independence.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Additional Information:
  • Evaluate patients and develop, update, and implement individualized occupational therapy plans of care.
  • Provide treatment designed to restore or improve vocational, homemaking, daily living, and independence skills.
  • Complete patient evaluations, clinical documentation, treatment records, and charge capture according to established standards.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary support teams.
  • Provide clinical supervision to occupational therapy assistants and aides.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
  • Maintain patient privacy and protect Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment and inspect therapy equipment for proper operation.
  • Support acute inpatient occupational therapy services as census needs dictate.
