Job Summary

Physical Therapist Pediatrics. The physical therapist provides independent outpatient pediatric care, including evaluations, treatment planning, reassessments, patient and family education, and discharge planning. The role primarily serves infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients with developmental delays, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum one year of physical therapy experience; pediatric experience required; active California physical therapy license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; proficiency with independent outpatient assessments and treatment; experience with developmental delays, torticollis, cerebral palsy, orthopedic injuries, milestone assessment, therapeutic exercises, and patient and family education.
• Preferred Qualifications: Acute care experience; adult and geriatric patient experience; pediatric home health or medical-based outpatient experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Additional Information: The role is based in a small, full-service outpatient clinic providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services. The pediatric caseload primarily includes developmental delays, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries. The physical therapist must be proficient and independent in medical-based outpatient services and may support acute care services when outpatient volume is low. The typical daily patient load is approximately seven patients, with productivity expectations of seven to eight patients per day.
