Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Reno, NV. This position involves providing respiratory therapy procedures to patients of various ages, from newborns to geriatrics, in a busy, level II trauma center. The role primarily supports critical care units and general care settings, ensuring optimal cardiopulmonary health outcomes while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days of the week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RRT certification, Nevada State License, must have a minimum of 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience, recent critical care experience, prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment, PICU and NICU experience; must apply for Nevada State Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General supervisor of Point of Care prior to start. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required prior to start.
- Additional Information: The position involves performing respiratory procedures for patients spanning all ages, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and documentation. Flexibility to float to different units as needed and work major holidays or additional shifts is possible based on departmental needs.
