Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a clinical setting. This position involves providing cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients, including assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gas analysis. The role requires working on a day shift and is suitable for a candidate with minimal experience in neonatal intensive care and pediatrics.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; experience in ICU, general floors, and Emergency Department; NICU and Peds experience to cover the ED; candidate must be registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide Cardiopulmonary Services; 0 years of experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with invasive and non-invasive procedures, ventilator management, intubations, blood gases, and delivering medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
  • Additional Information: The respiratory therapist is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies, ensuring timely diagnostic and therapeutic services for both inpatients and outpatients. This position is a contractor replacement for one full-time RT PEDS role.
