Job Summary

Radiologic Technologist, Mammographer, Pittsfield, MA. The position performs diagnostic imaging procedures in both radiography and mammography while applying independent judgment to support accurate diagnoses. Responsibilities include patient care, infection control, equipment operation, clinical documentation, and maintaining required competencies and continuing education.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week; weekend and evening availability required.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of X-ray experience, including at least 1 year of current experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current mammography experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography certification required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography certification required.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Massachusetts radiology license or license application required.
  • Proficiency in both radiography and mammography required.
  • Required skills checklists for mammography and X-ray, current within 1 year.
  • One signed supervisory reference from within the past 2 years of employment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs a wide variety of technical imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Provides safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Applies infection control and body substance isolation practices in accordance with applicable policies and standards.
  • Operates and troubleshoots digital imaging, image archiving, hospital information, and radiology information systems.
  • Maintains continuing education and department competencies for radiography and mammography.
  • Scheduling requests must be submitted with the application.
  • Travelers must be available to work the posted schedule without block scheduling or other schedule accommodations.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required.
