Job Summary
Occupational Therapist SNF in Missouri. This role involves providing skilled rehabilitative treatment to patients with cognitive and/or Activities of Daily Living (ADL) physical functioning disorders within a skilled nursing facility setting. The position requires evaluating patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Location: Missouri
• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license, 1 year of Occupational Therapist (OT) experience, including Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience, and skills checklist within 1 year.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Responsible for screening/evaluating patients with cognitive and/or Activities of Daily Living (ADL) physical functioning disorders and developing appropriate care plans following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and supportive devices.
• Assesses patient progress, adjusts treatments accordingly, documents all services and patient outcomes, and ensures compliance with regulatory and clinical documentation standards.
• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Able to supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed.
• Must be able to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies per clinical requirements.
• Adheres to NBCOT, American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
• Submission requirements include transmitting a resume, skills checklist within 1 year, at least 1 reference, and active OT license at the time of submission.
• On-call schedule to be determined by the facility.
• No weekends required.
