Job Summary

MRI Technologist, MRI Madison, Wisconsin. The position performs technical magnetic resonance imaging examinations and complex specialized procedures across a wide range of patient populations. The role works independently and collaboratively to prioritize procedures, support image quality, and maintain imaging equipment and systems.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two years of clinical experience; graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification required, with American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) MRI certification accepted if ARRT MR certification is not held; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Level I trauma experience; GE imaging experience within the past 1824 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level II trauma experience; charting system experience; Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) pulmonary embolism examination experience for evening or weekend coverage.
• Schedule: Day shifts of 8 and 12 hours totaling 40 hours per week, with primary coverage Friday through Monday. Friday and Monday shifts are 8 hours, and Saturday and Sunday shifts are 12 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; holidays may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs technical imaging examinations and complex specialized procedures using a variety of imaging equipment and systems. Works independently with neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients across varying locations. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance and repair, participation in quality assurance, resolution of image-processing and image-archiving issues, prioritization and organization of routine and emergent procedures, and communication with inpatient and emergency department teams. No call is required.
