Job Summary

Mammographer. The role performs mammography services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy procedures, needle localizations, radiation safety, and quality assurance.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts are 8 hours, scheduled for 40 hours per week, generally consisting of five 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM4:30 PM or 11:30 AM8:00 PM, with occasional Saturday and evening requirements.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent education and experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) (R)(M), and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)(M) certifications; two years of recent relevant experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, including digital and 3-D mammography.
  • Supports stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localization procedures.
  • Applies radiation safety, isolation precautions, personal protective equipment, and universal precautions.
  • Provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • May support inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Weekend coverage includes approximately seven weekend shifts per contract.
