Description
Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered, Pediatric Respiratory Therapy, Canton. The Respiratory Therapist provides intensive respiratory care, evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, administers prescribed therapies, and supports patient education and transport. The role operates a variety of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment and performs respiratory procedures with minimal supervision.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides respiratory treatments, oxygenation and ventilation support, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, pulmonary function studies, oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12-lead electrocardiograms, basic arrhythmia recognition, mechanical ventilation management, and assistance with respiratory procedures. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) guidelines. Documents treatments and patient responses, communicates clinical updates during shift handoffs, and supports equipment maintenance and testing.
