Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Inpatient Sullivan, Missouri. The position provides outpatient therapy services for primarily adult and pediatric orthopedic and neurological patients across all age groups. The role includes patient evaluation and treatment, home exercise programs, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Tuesdays and weekends off; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • One year of physical therapy experience.
  • Current Missouri physical therapy license or eligible compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical record documentation.
  • Skills in manual therapy, wound care, lifting and transfers, home exercise programs, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, and recognizing signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric therapy experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams for daily communication.
• Additional Information:
  • Outpatient therapy setting serving orthopedic, neurological, developmental, post-operative, sports-related, and chronic-condition patients.
  • Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Daily patient load is approximately 7590 patients.
  • Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, progress reassessment, gait training, therapeutic exercise, assistive device training, patient education, discharge planning, and documentation.
  • Flexibility, integrity, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, rapport-building skills, and attention to detail are required.
