Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in Los Angeles, California. Performs cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and assists with interventional procedures in the cardiovascular laboratory. Operates advanced imaging equipment, supports physicians during specialized procedures, provides patient instruction and discharge guidance, and mentors staff on technical skills.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience; Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification; Fluoroscopy certification; Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification; three years of technical experience; experience as a Special Procedures Technologist.
- Additional Information: Performs cardiac catheterization imaging and contrast-enhanced radiographs of the cardiovascular system. Assists with specialized and interventional procedures, positions and instructs patients, operates fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment, monitors patient responses and procedural data, maintains accurate documentation, and provides procedure explanations and discharge instructions. Cardiovascular laboratory experience is required. After-hours call coverage includes every other weekend and two weeknights per week.
