Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Inpatient Location not specified. The role provides physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care inpatient setting. Acute care experience is required, with the ability to work independently in a Level II trauma and stroke-certified environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week; three weekend shifts are required every six weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, including acute care inpatient experience; valid California license or proof of license submission; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to work independently with limited orientation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level II trauma experience; experience with stroke rehabilitation, cardiac and open-heart patients, multiple trauma, orthopedics, oncology, neurology, spine conditions, total joint procedures, sepsis, and general medicine.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, functional mobility training, gait training, discharge planning, patient and family education, reassessments, and safety and injury prevention.
  • Experience with lift machines and mobility equipment is preferred; training may be provided.
  • May be expected to work on days immediately before or after designated holidays and three of five designated holidays during the assignment.
