Job Summary
Nashville, TN Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in pediatric respiratory care. This position provides respiratory therapy services in a high-acuity setting, including ventilator management, airway care, patient assessment, and emergency response. The role supports neonatal and pediatric patient populations and requires participation in a 36-hour weekly schedule.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend required.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification and one year of intensive care unit experience.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include bronchodilator therapy, arterial blood gas collection and analysis, airway clearance, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, intubation assistance, patient assessment, high-flow oxygen therapy, patient transport, and code blue response. Experience with Drager ventilators, Phillips V60 systems, Vapotherm, and Metaneb devices is relevant. Black, gray, or raspberry scrubs are required.
