Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Outpatient Day-shift acute care position responsible for evaluating patients and providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. The role develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, delivers appropriate therapy interventions, and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Physical therapy treatment skills; ability to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; ability to establish, revise, and evaluate plans of care; ability to provide therapy interventions appropriate to patient conditions; ability to oversee physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel; critical thinking and decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment; compliance with required personal protective equipment and Standard Precautions.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care in an acute setting for neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, oncological, and general medical conditions.
  • May provide services across multiple units within the facility.
  • Collaborates regularly with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Delivers point-of-service care and timely clinical documentation.
  • Training is provided to support clinical responsibilities.
  • Works closely with physical therapy assistants and other rehabilitation professionals.
