Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in pediatric respiratory care. This 15-week assignment provides respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including airway management, ventilator support, physician consultation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The position requires a commitment to day shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 a.m.7:00 p.m.; three 12-hour shifts per week; 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; active Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by the start of the assignment; ability to provide care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; no first assignments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; current Hawaii respiratory therapist license.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include continuous airway management; invasive and non-invasive ventilator management and support; physician consultation; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and all aspects of respiratory care. Proof of influenza vaccination or an approved medical or religious exception is required before the contract start date. An employee health appointment is required before the assignment begins, with arrival on the Thursday before the scheduled start date.
