Job Summary

Occupational Therapist Inpatient. This position provides occupational therapy services across adult inpatient and outpatient settings, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, mental health, lymphedema, and total joint replacement populations. The role requires strong clinical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent practice skills.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Occupational Therapist with an active Minnesota license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; scheduling may be flexible across 4 or 5 days per week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position covers both inpatient and outpatient services, with an expected patient volume of 812 per day. Patient populations include outpatient orthopedic upper-extremity and lymphedema cases; inpatient total joint replacement, general medical, and neurological impairment cases; and outpatient mental health cases. Responsibilities include applying physical-agent modalities, using durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment, fabricating or modifying upper-extremity splints, completing wheelchair evaluations, and providing therapeutic management. Strong organization, communication, teamwork, collaboration, independent clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills are required. Professional casual attire is permitted, and scrubs are allowed. One department-specific orientation shift is provided, with flexibility as needed.
